Babysitting Course – May 22
Why is a babysitting course so important? Families in our community need responsible babysitters. These babysitters need to learn how to safely care for younger children before they offer to babysit. Safe Sitter is designed to help provide safe and secure care for young children while empowering young adolescents to become tomorrow’s workers and parents. The Babysitting Course will provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe, and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. Babysitting classes are offered to student’s who are age 11 and older. The instructors for this course are all SAFE SITTER® Certified.
This 6-hour Babysitting Course will be held on Saturday, May 22nd from 9:00 – 3:00 pm. Please pack a lunch for your child. A completion card is given to students who pass the verbal and hands – on session. The fee for this course is $60. Non-residents pay an additional $5. Class will be held at the Raymond Middle School.
