While not a Town Department, we are located in the Raymond Safety Complex and work closely with the Raymond Police & Fire Departments.

Raymond Ambulance Inc. was founded March 3, 1959. Funds were raised at that time through donations and fund-raising events to obtain and outfit a 1952 Cadillac.  Volunteers were trained in advanced first aid and it was comprised of approximately 20 volunteers.

We are now a private non-profit "911" organization that has grown to maintaining four ambulances.  We are staffed with multiple levels of medically trained personnel, most of which are from the community; friends, neighbors, and relatives that understand the need for emergent medical help in the pre-hospital setting.  These people must maintain a providers license at both the state and national levels as well as maintaining CPR certification. Continuous training and adapting to current medical changes is a big part of the job.

We are presently contracted with towns of Raymond, Fremont, and Deerfield. We respond to other surrounding towns when the need arises.

We have 3 officers and 15 additional members. We also have a Board of Directors made up of four non-licensed volunteers.

President: Paul Bernard Sr.

Secretary: Samantha Carpenterie

Treasurer: Donna Ehman

Not only do we provide emergency medical care, we also offer CPR classes for businesses, AED training, and vials of life.  We take part in School drills and fatal reality, Touch a truck, as well as other town functions when available.  We provide a small scholarship to a graduating senior who is pursuing a medical field.
