Public Works Department – Water Division

Equipment Operator/Truck Driver/Laborer & Water Service Technician

Permanent Full Time - Split Position

This position will serve a portion of the week with the Highway Division as an Equipment Operator/Truck Driver/Laborer and the balance of the week with the Water Division as a Water Service Technician.

Within the Highway Division, the tasks assigned to this position typically involve road maintenance activities, operation of dump trucks, construction equipment, roadside mower and the like. Tasks will include winter plowing activities.

Within the Water Division, the tasks assigned to this position typically involve the maintenance of the Town’s water production, treatment and distribution system including the daily water treatment plant monitoring and testing duties, semiannual backflow testing, quarterly meter reading activities, semi-annual hydrant flushing, available to respond to emergency water system emergencies during non-work day hours.

The ideal candidate will have integrity, strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, civil construction experience, snow plowing operation and knowledge of water operations, treatment, and distribution systems.  A CDL license, NHDES Grade 1 certification in water distribution and snow plowing with wing experience is desirable.

Wage range for this position is $17.00/per hour to $21.00/per hour, DOQ

Laborer/Driver/Equipment Operator

 

Permanent Full Time Position

 

The Public Works Department has a job opening in the Highway Division. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and experience in highway maintenance operations, equipment operations, roadway and utility repair. Applicants must be available to respond to emergency situations during non-work hours.  Applicants must possess a valid NH CDL class A or B license and a clean driving record. Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.  Heavy equipment operation/maintenance experience a plus.

On Call Snowplow Drivers

 

The Town of Raymond is seeking to hire qualified New Hampshire plow drivers interested in providing services to the Town for the 2020 -2021 winter season on an as needed basis.

 

The Town has a fleet of winter maintenance equipment ranging from pick-up trucks to 6-wheel dump trucks with wing plows.  When storm intensity and/or staffing shortages dictate a need, we will reach out to the On-Call Drivers to report for duty and assist in winter maintenance operations.

 

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, have a clean driving record, a CDL License and reside within 30 minutes travel time of Raymond Highway Shed.  Snowplowing with a wing plow experience is preferred.

 

Interested individuals should apply using the Town’s Employment Application. All respondents must highlight the scope of their plowing experience, references and equipment used.

 

The wage range for this Seasonal position is $18.00/per hour to $22.00/per hour, DOQ

This position is eligible for Overtime for hours accrued after the completion of a 40-hour consecutive work week.
