Executive Assistant to Town Manager and Board of Selectmen

The Town of Raymond, NH is accepting applications for the position of Executive Assistant to Town Manager and Board of Selectmen. This is a full-time, 40-hour a week position.


This position performs a wide range of complex Executive Administrative support functions while under the direct supervision of the Town Manager.  Duties also include updating the Town’s web page and providing Human Resource support.

Minimum Experience and Training:

• HS Diploma

• 3-5 years of office administration work experience in similar field. Municipality experience a plus.

• Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office suite and any other software necessary for job.

• Use of standard business machines

• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects.

Planner/Community Development Director

Job Summary

Provides land use and site planning assistance to developers, property owners, the general public, and other Town staff. Reviews development plans and provides recommendations to the Planning Board. Assists developers and property owners through the plan review process. Provides transportation planning assistance and recommendations to various committees and commissions. Works on special projects.  Provides direct oversight of the Planning, Assessing, and Building Divisions within the Community Development Department. 

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university in planning, public administration or a related field and at least three years of progressively responsible related experience; or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job. 

Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid State Driver’s License

  • AICP (desirable).

 

Annual Salary Range:   $52,270.40 - $84,302.40 DOQ, with a comprehensive benefits package. Exempt position.

Public Works Director

The Town of Raymond (pop. 10,903) seeks a resourceful and experienced Public Works Director. This is a full-time, non-union, department head position that reports to the Town Manager; responsible for supervising, directing, and managing all administrative and technical aspects of the Town’s Public Works Department, which operates seven divisions: highway, fleet maintenance, solid waste, buildings, parks, and water, and cemeteries.

 

Successful candidates should possess in-depth knowledge of the principles and practices of public works including MS4 compliance practices.  Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is desired, with seven (7) years progressively responsible experience in municipal public works or related engineering operations, including three (3) years of supervisory and administrative experience, however, a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to succeed in this position will be considered.

 

The Town of Raymond offers a competitive benefit package.

 

Salary range:  $95,000-$120,000

PART TIME SEASONAL PARKS LABORER

 

The Town of Raymond, NH is accepting applications for the position of Part Time Seasonal Parks Laborer.  This is a 40-hour a week position, typically Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm, starting in late May/early June through late September.

 

This position requires the skills necessary to address grounds keeping activities during summer months.

Parks / Highway Laborer

 

The Town of Raymond, NH is accepting applications for the position of Parks /Highway Laborer. This is a full-time, 40-hour a week position, typically Monday through Friday*, 7:30am-4:00pm. *(except during emergency operation events, must be available 24/7, year-round).

 

This position is split between two DPW Divisions, Parks and Highway.  The skills necessary to address grounds keeping activities during summer months and road maintenance activities in winter months.

·    CDL B license preferred

PAY RATE:  $17.50-$19.00/hour depending on experience.

      Cemetery Sexton

The Town of Raymond is accepting applications for the on call position

of Cemetery Sexton.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing the sale of plots, locating, and marking gravesites, tracking of internments, maintaining burial records and the coordination of burials for all activities at Town cemeteries.

Individual  will work under the general supervision of the Town Manager and Director of Public Works. Job duties are reviewed through monthly meetings, observance of work performed, and feedback from residents.

      Dispatchers

The Raymond Police Department is seeking individuals for full-time and part-time, non-exempt Dispatcher(s). Interested candidates should possess an ability to multi-task, have strong written and oral communication skills and computer data entry skills. Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays. Starting rate is commensurate with experience and ranges from $38,000 to $58,000 annually for full-time and $16.32 an hour for part-time.
Both positions include incentives as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
