Adult Programs


What is Zumba?  Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance-fitness cardio based workout that with incorporated sculpting exercises tones the entire body top to bottom. Zumba takes you on an international journey through dance and rhythms including Salsa, Reggaeton, Merengue, Cumbia and much more.

 The instructor for this course is Marissa Olivier. She has taught children’s dance and Zumba for Raymond Recreation for the past several years. She also has 10+ years dance experience which she is excited to bring to Zumba Fitness!


Please wear comfortable clothing and sneakers (older worn sneakers work best).  Bring water!  You are more than welcome to bring your own set of 3-5 lb dumbbells.  You must be at least 17 years old to sign up for this class.


 The cost is $7 for drop in or $35 for a 6-class punch card. Classes will be held 6:30 – 7:15pm every Tuesday in the Raymond Middle School cafeteria.  


May 24 - June 14


Raymond Recreation is offering a 4-week session of pickleball for adults & seniors.  Pickleball will be held from 6 – 8 pm on Tuesday evenings from  May 24 to June 14.


What is pickleball you ask??  It’s like a combination of tennis and ping pong.  An added bonus!  you’ll have so much fun you won’t notice you’re getting a great workout.  Beginners welcome.


This program will be at the Raymond Middle School Gym on Tuesday evenings.  You can bring your own paddle, or we will have some for people to use.  The fee for this 4-week program is $20.  Pre-registration is required.

Adult Basketball 
April 6 - June 15

Raymond Recreation will be offering an adult basketball program.  This is a pick-up program (we do not have a league or set teams).  The session will run from April 6th through June 15th (no program on April 27). This program meets on Wednesday evenings from 8:00pm to 10:00pm at the Gove Middle School Gym.

The fee for the 10-week season is $30 or you may drop-in for $10 per week.  You must have a Rec waiver on file to participate.  Sign-in sheets will be on-hand each week, please remember to sign-in.

Gentle Yoga
6-Week session: May 14 - June 15

Mondays and Wednesdays @ 5:45-6:45 p

Good for beginner to intermediate. Class will offer some advanced poses to suit your needs for that day. You will be encouraged to use your breath to move in and out of poses and at your own pace. You will be encouraged to let go of judgment, competition, focus on your breath and be in the present moment. Dress comfortable and avoid eating a large meal 2-3 hours before class.

The instructor for this course will be Monica L Cyr, a Raymond resident and a certified Yoga Teacher in the Vinyasa Style and a Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui/Tibetan system of healing. With 22 + years of teaching experience, in both group and private settings, she believes in tailoring her classes to the individual needs of her students. to ensure a positive experience for all.

Classes will be held in the Raymond middle school library. Non-residents pay an additional $5.00. Please make the check payable to Raymond Recreation Department; you can also pay the instructor the night of class. The fee for this six-week session is $35.00 per person.
