Join our Maple Tour - Polly’s Pancake Parlor & The Rocks Estate - March 26, 2020

Join Raymond Recreation as we welcome spring on our Maple Tour!  We’ll start our day with a “late breakfast/early lunch” at Polly’s Pancake Parlor.  You may order off the bus tour menu with options like pancakes, eggs, and grilled sandwiches.  Following our stop at Polly’s, we will head over to the Rocks Estate for the Maple Tour.  We will learn the history of maple sugaring from the times of Native Americans to present day.  We can watch them tap a tree, visit the museum and even get to have a taste of the warm syrup.  There will be time to visit the gift shop featuring NH and USA made products.  If time permits, we’ll make a mystery stop to even more sweetness.  Enjoy this great opportunity to welcome in spring in New Hampshire.  Since we will be eating early you may want to bring a sandwich or snack for the bus ride.

The coach bus will leave Raymond at 9:00 am and return around 4:55 pm.  The cost for this trip, which includes coach bus transportation, Polly’s meal, maple syrup tour, and all gratuities (including wait staff and coach driver), is $68 for Raymond seniors (are age 60 or over), $73 for non-resident seniors and adult Raymond residents.  Non-resident adults pay $78. New England Aquarium -& Lunch at Maggiano’s

Thursday, April 16, 2020

Raymond Recreation is planning a great trip to Boston for lunch and the New England Aquarium on Thursday, April 16.  The fun begins as we enter the aquarium; see exhibits that highlight hundreds of different species from around the world.

There is so much to see and do; like explore the Giant Ocean Tank, experience a close encounter with a ray at the Touch Tank, or even watch our playful Fur Seals put on a show!  This is a walking tour, though the aquarium has elevators and ramps (for wheelchairs and walkers) and many benches for those who need a rest.

We will be having lunch at Maggiano’s (family style - all you can eat) which was a big hit a few years ago.  It will include 3 appetizers, 3 entrees (Oven Roasted Pork Loin, Chicken Parmesan and Six Cheese Cannelloni) with a profiterole and/or Tiramisu for dessert.

The atmosphere is reminiscent of big family dinners on a visit to our grandmother’s house, or as they say in Italy, nonna’s casa!  Where everyone talks at once and the delicious homemade food just keeps coming. For more information and a registration form CLICK HERE
