AEROBICS - November-December 2019
The next session for this season will begin on Monday, November 4 at Gove Middle School and end on Wednesday, December 18. This program is offered every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 4:30pm, classes are for one hour and are a combined aerobics/toning class. This is a strenuous coed exercise program led by NDEITA trained volunteers. Children joining Aerobics must be at least 14 years old. Please be sure you complete a PAR-Q & YOU form for this season.
The cost of Aerobics for this session is $25.00. Non residents pay an additional $5.00 per session. Two related people from the same household may register for $40.00, non-resident couple for $50.00.
Floor mats are required during Aerobics; proper footwear is also necessary. Registrations are now being taken at Raymond Recreation. Hours are Monday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm, and Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Zumba - September 3 through September 24
What is Zumba? Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance-fitness cardio based workout that with incorporated sculpting exercises tones the entire body top to bottom. Zumba takes you on an international journey through dance and rhythms including Salsa, Reggaeton, Merengue, Cumbia and much more.
The instructor for this course is Marissa Olivier. She has taught dance for the Recreation Department for the past several years. She also has 10+ years dance experience which she is excited to bring to Zumba Fitness!
Please wear comfortable clothing and sneakers (older worn sneakers work best). Bring water! You are more than welcome to bring your own set of 3-5lb dumbbells. You must be at least 17 years old to sign up for this class.
This session, September 3 through September 24, will be drop ins only. Each class is $7. Classes will be held 6:30 – 7:30pm every Tuesday in the cafeteria at Raymond Middle School.
Pickleball - September 12 – October 17
Raymond Recreation is offering a 6-week session of pickleball for adults & seniors. Pickleball will be held from 6 – 8 pm on Thursday evenings from October 24-November 14
What is pickleball you ask?? It’s like a combination of tennis and ping pong. An added bonus! you’ll have so much fun you won’t notice you’re getting a great workout. Beginners welcome.

Barre Necessity - Sept. 4th, 2019 to November 16th
Welcome to Barre Necessity… We love barre and offer 3 Fun Class styles to keep your body moving!
Barre 101: We focus on alignment and form in a slower pace to make sure you get the most out of your movements.
Barre Intensity: Combining attributes of Pilates, Dance and Functional Fitness training. (Barre 101) Then adding large range of motion to elevate the heart rate, and sequencing that incorporates upper and lower body to make every minute count. (this is your cardio barre class)
Barre Fusion: We combine barre elements with added props to provide a workout that is fun and unique.
The instructor for this course is Linda J. Richards. A former dance enthusiast, Linda found the Barre workout and fell in love with it immediately. After being a student of barre, she took her instructor training and is now excited to bring Barre to you!

A Country Christmas w/Jose Duddy - INDIAN HEAD RESORT -December 5, 2019
The most requested trip of the year!! Join Raymond Recreation on Thursday, December 5th as we travel to Indian Head Resort in the heart of the White Mountains, for a Holiday Celebration to remember.
This trip includes a deluxe luncheon buffet, 2 drink vouchers, individual photos with Santa, the amazing Country Christmas in the White Mountains Show with Jose Duddy! The Christmas Celebration even includes gifts from SANTA!! We will make a quick stop at the Christmas Loft in North Woodstock for some holiday decorations and unique gifts for someone on your list.
The bus leaves at 9:00 am and returns at 5:13 pm. The cost of this trip, which includes the holiday show, lunch buffet, gift from Santa, all gratuities (driver & wait staff) and coach transportation, is $65.00 for Raymond seniors (age 60 or over), $70.00 for non-resident seniors and adult Raymond residents. Adult 30+ Basketball - Sept 29 – Dec 1
Raymond Recreation will be offering an adult 30+ basketball program. This is a pick-up program (we do not have a league or set teams). The session will run from Sept 29th through Dec 1st. This program meets on Sunday mornings from 8:00 to 10:00 am at the Gove Middle School Gym.

We will be offering Chair Yoga (Modifications)
Good for beginner to intermediate. Class will offer modifications/chair as well as more advanced poses to suit your needs for that day. You will be encouraged to use your breath to move in and out of poses and at your own pace. You will be encouraged to let go of judgment, competition, focus on your breath and be in the present moment. Dress comfortable and avoid eatng a large meal 2-3 hours before class.
The instructor for this course will be Monica L Cyr, a Raymond resident and a certified Yoga Teacher in the Vinyasa Style and a Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui/Tibetan system of healing. With 10+ years of teaching experience, in
both group and private settings, she believes in tailoring her classes to the individual needs of her students to ensure a positve experience for all.

Miracle on 34th Street - December 12, 2019
Join Raymond Recreation on Thursday, December 12th as we step back in time to the Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City and enjoy “Miracle on 34th Street” at the Greater Boston Stage Company in Stoneham, MA. Our first stop will be to the Burlington Mall to see the amazing holiday decorations, do a little shopping and have lunch on your own. There is a great variety of restaurants at the mall including Legal Seafoods, the Cheesecake Factory, the Friendly Toast, Johnny Rockets and even more options in the grand food court. After the mall we will head to the highlight of our day to see Miracle on 34th Street. In this Christmas classic, Kris Kringle fills in for an intoxicated Santa in Macy's annual Thanksgiving Day parade. Kringle proves to be such a hit that he is soon appearing regularly at the main store in Manhattan. When Kringle surprises customers and employees alike by claiming that he really is Santa Claus, it leads to a court case to determine his mental health and, more importantly, his authenticity.
The bus leaves at 10:15 am and returns at 5:30 pm. The cost of this trip, which includes the holiday show, driver gratuity and coach transportation, is $50.00 for Raymond seniors (age 60 or over), $55.00 for non-resident seniors and adult Raymond residents.
