Pickleball
December 3-17
Raymond Recreation is offering a 3-week session of pickleball for adults & seniors. Pickleball will be held from 10am - 12pm on Sunday mornings from December 3 to December 17.
What is pickleball you ask?? It’s like a combination of tennis and ping pong. An added bonus! you’ll have so much fun you won’t notice you’re getting a great workout. Beginners welcome.
This program will be at the Raymond Middle School Gym on Sunday mornings. You can bring your own paddle, or we will have some for people to use. The fee for this 3-week program is $15. Pre-registration is required.

Merry Country Christmas

Raymond Recreation is going to Danversport in Danvers on Thursday, December 7th. At Danversport we will enjoy a delicious luncheon and an amazing show. Merry County Christmas presented by Live from Nashville heralds the season of joy and hope served up Country-Style. Exciting sets, colorful costuming, brilliant musicianship, boot-scootin’ dancers, topped off by spectacular voices and soaring harmonies. The joy of Christmas comes to you in the heartfelt music of the holidays. From classics like Frosty the Snowman to Old Saint Nick to Up on the Housetop to the ever-popular White Christmas.
In the morning, we will make a quick mystery stop or two for a sweet surprise. Then it’s off to our next destination for our lunch and show. Nestled on 19 acres, directly on the water, Danversport is truly a New England jewel offering expansive views and upscale function facilities. Lunch includes a choice of entrée (Stuffed Breast of Chicken or Baked Schrod), salad, potato, vegetable, breads, dessert, and coffee/tea.
Please sign up early. We must confirm our space by November 7th.
The coach bus will leave Raymond at 9:30 am and return at 4:56 pm. The cost of this trip, which includes coach bus transportation, all gratuities, luncheon and amazing show is, $107 for Raymond seniors (are age 60 or over), $112 for non-resident seniors and adult Raymond residents. Non-resident adults pay $117.
BUS REGULATIONS: Registrants must sit in the same seat(s) on the bus on the return trip as they sat in on the departure. For courtesy sake, you are only allowed to save your own seat and one other. Cancellation Policy: To receive a full refund, you must call to cancel by November 7; there is a 50% refund for cancellations after Nov. 7 but at least a week before the trip. Cancellations after this date will not be refunded. Full refunds will be issued if we must cancel a trip.

Adult Basketball
November 29 - February 7
Wednesdays
Raymond Recreation will be offering an adult basketball program. This is a pick-up program (we do not have a league or set teams). The session will run from November 29 through February 7. (No basketball on 12/27)This program meets on Wednesday evenings from 8:15pm to 10:00pm at the Gove Middle School Gym.
The fee for the 10-week season is $30. You must have a Rec waiver on file to participate. Sign-in sheets will be on-hand each week, please remember to sign-in.

Adult 21+ Basketball
December 3 - March 3

Raymond Recreation will be offering an adult 21+ basketball program. This is a pick-up program (we do not have a league or set teams). The session will run from December 3 through March 3. No basketball 12/24, 12/31, 1/14 and 2/25. This program meets on Sunday mornings from 8:00 to 10:00am at the Gove Middle School Gym.
The fee for the 10-week season is $30. You must register and pay on-line through raymondnh.recdesk.com prior to the start of the session in order to participate.

Stretch, Strengthen and Tone Yoga
November 25 - January 3

Good for beginner to intermediate. Class will offer some advanced poses to suit your needs for that day. You will be encouraged to use your breath to move in and out of poses and at your own pace. You will be encouraged to let go of judgment, competition, focus on your breath and be in the present moment. Dress comfortably and avoid eating a large meal 2-3 hours before class.
The instructors for this course are both Raymond residents, Monica L Cyr, with 25+ years of experience, a certified Yoga Teacher in the Vinyasa Style and a Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui/Tibetan system of healing. Desiree Welenc 500RTY Vinyasa style and certified in children as well as teens. Both teach in groups as well as private settings. They believe in tailoring the class to the individual needs of their students to ensure a positive experience for all.
Classes will be held in the Raymond Middle School Library. Non-residents pay an additional $5.00 (unless you zoom in for class). Please make the check payable to Raymond Recreation Department; you can also pay the instructor the night of class.
The fee for this 6-week session is $42.00 per person.
